Do you know that Kochiis an Archipelago of many islands????


We did not know it until we decided to visit Kochi for our Vacation.  Cochin includes various Islands( almost 10) and the main ones are the mainland (Ernakulam), Fort Kochi, Vypin, Willington and Bolgatty Island. Though they are not exotic like Andaman and Nicobar Islands, people go about like they live in different areas in a city connected via boats.

The Kochi Islands are well connected via roads and boats.It takes longer to reach the other islands through road so people mainly use the facilities of boat here. There are boat jetties(boat station) in most of the islands. To the great surprise, the ticket costs only 4 rupees to go to another island in a local boat. There is no return ticket like our local trains in chennai. For the return, one needs to get the ticket from the specific island.

Kochiis not a big place. So, one can combine it with other tourist places near Kochi. We decided to combine it with Allepey.

Must Experience:
This is the place where you can enjoy traveling in different types of boats. So, do not miss it. We enjoyed traveling in all Types of Boats( Local Boat, Ferry, Cruise, Shikara, Speed Boat) except boathouse.

1.Realisation: Am I obsessed with my thoughts?  Will you please stop chattering? Why don't you leave me free ?Can you please stop thinking about it? Why do you always hold on to it?   The moment we informed others that we are planning to spend five days in Vizag, the first question everyone asked was " What is there in Vizag to spend five days?" . To be honest, we felt it tight by the end of our trip. Though Vizag as such doesn’t have many places to visit, there are places in and around Vizag to make the stay wonderful. For people who are interested in an ancient ruined sites, this is a good place to visit. Places Not To Be Missed: While in Vizag, it is better to combine Araku and Borra Caves and a few rare temples near Vizag. So do not miss Borra Caves, Katiki Waterfalls, Srikurmam, and Srimukhalingam while in Vizag.  Stay : Dolphin Hotel An Awesome hotel with good rooms and a lovely spread in the buffet. They arranged for excellent takeaways with fruit salad for our Borra trip(even at odd hours). Travel desk facility is also available. Local and outstation trips can be booked at a fair price.
