Hill Palace:
This is a very big palace. One has to climb many level of steps to reach the Palace. The Palace is surrounded by many trees and beautiful gardens. There are many buildings in this palace that exhibits various things, so do allot time to spend  here.
The view of the main building from the bottom of the step and the closer view of the main building

Each building exhibits various ornaments, coins, weapons, drawings, inscriptions, apparels and many more used by different Malabar kings.

There are deer park and children's park too inside the campus.
Note: One need to walk a lot , so get yourself energized before visiting this place. The palace is closed between 12 and 2 for lunch break. Plan accordingly.

Mattancherry

We spent 2 hours in mattancherry after our lunch. There is a separate boat jetty to board on boats to Mattancherry. We reached the place in few minutes. It is a very small place. The main thing to be coverred here are the Mattancherry Palace and  Paradesi Synagogue.
Mattancherry Palace can be called as a smaller version of the Hill Palace. Apart from the ancient weapons, coins, crowns, ormnaments and similar things being displayed, there were paintings all over. The paintings mainly covered Ramayana Story. The Mural Paintings were awesome.

There are two temples, one for Lord Krishna and other for Lord Shiva inside the campus.

Jewish Synagogue was at a walkable distance from here. One has to walk through the Jews Street to reach Paradesi Synagogue. The street was full of Jews Shops selling anything and everything. The street ends in Paradesi Synagogue. Rare Antiques were displayed here. Gave a quick look at the antique pieces and we were back to the boat jetty to catch the return boat to Ernakulam.
