Do you know that Kochi is an Archipelago of many islands???? We did not know it until we decided to visit Kochi for our Vacation.   Cochin  includes various Islands( almost 10) and the main ones are the mainland (Ernakulam),  Fort   Kochi , Vypin, Willington and  Bolgatty   Island . Though they are not exotic like Andaman and Nicobar Islands, people go about like they live in different areas in a city connected via boats. The Kochi  Islands  are well connected via roads and boats. It takes longer to reach the other islands through road so people mainly use the facilities of boat here. There are boat jetties(boat station) in most of the islands. To the great surprise, the ticket costs only 4 rupees to go to another island in a local boat. There is no return ticket like our local trains in chennai. For the return, one needs to get the ticket from the specific island. Kochi is not a big place. It was an awesome trip and we had quite fun. We had 5 days with us to cover Hassan, Coorg and Bekal. The trip involved three different states TN, Karnataka and Kerala so i like to call it as a trip from bay of bengal to the arabian sea. We started our trip from chennai and reached mysore by train. From there, we had arranged for cab(booked through one of our relative) to take us to different places and finally drop us back in mysore station. The trip included visiting various temples,forts, beaches, and scenic spots. Altogether we spent 1 day in Hassan, 1 day in Bekal and 3 days in Coorg. It's 16.02.19 Saturday. It happened to be a day of temples today. If it had not been arranged by our yoga mam Anitha, I wouldn’t have got chance to visit these many temples in a single day. Thanks a ton to the lovely lady.🙏🙏🙏.  Started our trip from the pick-up point Meru temple Kodambakkam by 6:40 am. Within half hour we reached our first spot. Anantha Padbanabaswamy Thirukovil(Adayar): 1. The Main Deity 2. Aalamara Shivan We reached the temple by 7:10.The day started with the blessings of Vinayagar inside the temple. Speciality: Unlike Trivandrum Padmanabaswamy temple where the deity can be viewed only part by part through three different doors, here at Chennai, the entire deity can be viewed through the middle door.
