Do you know that Kochi is an Archipelago of many islands???? We did not know it until we decided to visit Kochi for our Vacation. Cochin includes various Islands( almost 10) and the main ones are the mainland (Ernakulam), Fort Kochi , Vypin, Willington and Bolgatty Island . Though they are not exotic like Andaman and Nicobar Islands, people go about like they live in different areas in a city connected via boats. The Kochi Islands are well connected via roads and boats. It takes longer to reach the other islands through road so people mainly use the facilities of boat here. There are boat jetties(boat station) in most of the islands. To the great surprise, the ticket costs only 4 rupees to go to another island in a local boat. There is no return ticket like our local trains in chennai. For the return, one needs to get the ticket from the specific island. Kochi is not a big place. So, one can combine it with other tourist places near Kochi. We decided to combine it with Alle
